At NPR, we don't use the word legacy loosely.
To us, the word legacy embodies the passion and dedication of people who have named NPR in their wills or estates. This is a special group of visionary friends whose foresight and support—at any giving level—will help NPR continue our mission for generations to come. Gifts vary in size and scope but all serve a common purpose: to realize today the ability to positively impact the future success of public radio.
Make a Charitable Gift Through Your Estate
Some people like you elect to ensure the vitality of NPR far into the future by including us in their estate plan. These supporters make a valuable contribution to the long-term mission of NPR. Additionally, certain types of deferred gifts may provide current tax reductions, help avoid possible income tax, lower estate taxes, or provide income during the donor's lifetime.
Gift Designation
Monies generated through estate and deferred gifts enable NPR to continue to provide listeners with the level of programming excellence—on-air and online—they have come to expect. All deferred gifts, unless specifically designated otherwise by the donor, will be used for NPR general operating activities.
Recognition
Members of the Joan B. Kroc Legacy Society are enthusiastic supporters who make their mark on the future of public media by including NPR in their estate plans. We recognize and celebrate all members of the Legacy Society, without whom we could not continue this important work.
